Warung Ayu

Ayu is the owner of Warung Ayu. The name says it all. This is a real Indonesian warung where you can eat incredibly cheap, delicious food. If you want to eat here in the evening, in high season it is smart to make reservations in advance. It is quickly full because the Lovina holidaymakers know where to find Warung Ayu. The staff is very friendly and the menu is very extensive. The staff asks if the food you order should be prepared ‘spicy or no spicy’. Make a smart choice in this, sometimes the dishes are already spicy by themselves and then if you ordered spicy you may need several extra glasses of water! Warung Ayu also gives a cooking class in Lovina, definitely worthwhile if you want to learn real Indonesian cooking.
